Naked 3 Fall Makeup Tutorial !

Hi Beauts !

It's sadly been way too long ! I have been working so much lately, that I don't even have time to do things I normally do like workout or read a book. Now things aren't slowing down work wise, but my schedule won't be so out of sorts, so fingers crossed that means more blogging ! Now the other day I was playing around with some make up and actually ended up with one that I actually really like. I think this makeup look is great for Fall, it's a nice taupe/purple eye shadow look, which I personally love. Now I'm no makeup professional or anything but I hope you beauts like this look ! So let's get to it...

So after I primed my eyes, I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe on just my eyelids. This cream eye shadow helps to the eye shadow that's going over it to pop more and bring out the gray undertone a bit more.

After that, I swept Liar over just the lid and blending it out just a bit. I love the color of this eye shadow, it's this really pretty mauve/gray eye shadow, The mauve-y tone in the eye shadow adds a really nice pop of color for the Fall time, without being so bright and vibrant like you would wear during Spring or Summer.

As for the crease color, I applied Nooner and blended away and then some more. Okay can I just break slightly off topic and say that this crease color is amazing. It's the best combination of brown with a hint of pink, so it's not that typical matte brown shadow that you use everyday, which I have no problem with because I like me some of those too.

Off to eyeliner. With a smudge brush I applied eye liner on to the top outer half lash line. The eye liner doesn't have to look perfect but you definitely don't want to make it too thick.

With the same brush, I took Darkside and smudged the eyeliner with that. Now you can smudge it as much as you want, what it comes down to is how you like it. With that same shadow I applied that to the outer v of my eye to smoke out the look a bit and whatever product is left on your brush, you'll want to use that to line your bottom lash line. Once you've blended everything out and your happy with your eye look, curl your lashes and apply a few coats of your favorite mascara.

I really hope you beauts like this look and if you do, some feedback would be great ! I think this makeup look is great for Fall and I plan to use this look a lot more. You could definitely turn it down a bit for during the day and darken it for the night time. Thank you so much for reading and sticking with me ! I feel terrible for the the disappearance but hopefully this time around, I can manage my time better. Thanks again beauts. Take care !

With love,

Sunday Social !

Hi Beauts !
Pardon the disappearance, work has been consuming more of my time then I was hoping it would . I hope you all had a beautiful week, so let's get to it !

1. One show you would love to see on Netflix that isn't there ?
Sailor Moon ! When I was 5 or 6 years old, my mom would wake me up early just to watch that show because I loved it that much. Thinking about watching it from being to end makes me a little too excited.

2. One song you wish they would play more on the radio ?
Ed Sheeran " Give Me Love".

3.  Your favorite song to sing loudly in the car ?
Jeremih "Don't Tell Em" or Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora "Black Widow". I can't help but sing to this songs, so catchy.

4.  What movie/tv do you quote most ?

5.  One silly thing you do daily
Everyday when I get into my car, I have to have a jam session even if it's for 5 minutes. I have to sing along and dance a bit, while I drive...not my safest choice but yeah.

I hope you Beauts have a great Sunday and a great week ahead of you. Thank you for reading ! Take care !

Sunday Social !

                              Social Sunday
Hey Beauts !

So I know I've been slacking a bit, and I did apologize for it on another post and then I did it again... I'm a bit of a scatter brain and that's no excuse but I think it's pretty obvious. I am determined to change it and I will !

I have done about 4 of these and I really enjoy them and find them great. I think the ladies who thought up this concept and the great questions are pretty genius and awesome, if you ask me. I'll stop blabbering away and get to it, so yeah !

1. Favorite genre of music ?
I can't decide ! I really do like different genres  of music and to pick just one, is pretty difficult for me because my taste varies so much and I just really love all music.

2. Favorite genre of movies ?
Same thing with movies, I really enjoy watching movies and love so many of them and to pick just one puts you in a pickle, but my absolute favorites (yeah I can't pick just one..typical) are horror and romantic comedies.

3. Do you watch reality TV ? If so what was the first show you remember watching ?
Yes I do, I'm not the biggest fan of it, but I am guilty of watching it from time to time. The Hills. When I was in high school, me and my best friend would call each other and would watch the show and talk on the phone at the same time, good times.

4. Actress you'd be BFF's with ?
Betty White or be part of the Golden Girls.

5. Actor you'd be happy to be stuck on an island with ?
Liam Neeson or Ralph Fiennes, two of my favorite actors.

Check the ladies that do Sunday Social every week, their blogs are pretty awesome and cool. I hope  you Beauts liked this post and hopefully you guys noticed just how scattered brain I really am. Thank you for reading it means a lot to me ! Hope you all have a beautiful week.

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

Hi Beauts !

So, cleaning your makeup brushes is pretty important and pretty easy, there are just somethings you want to remember when doing so. You want to clean your brushes depending how often you use them; if you use them every single day then every week or week and a half, if you use it 3 to 4 times a week, every 2 weeks is pretty good. It's alright to slack when cleaning your brushes, it's only normal but be careful because it can cause breakouts.

Cleaning your brushes is easy, all you need are of course, your makeup brushes and baby shampoo.

When wetting your brushes, you don't want to throw the whole thing under water, doing so can cause bristles to fall out and for the barrel to loosen, two things you don't want.

Don't

Do

So what you want to do is lightly wet the bristles, make sure the water is not flowing out to heavily. However, make sure the bristles are entirely wet.

Pour a little drop of baby shampoo on your brush. Now this next part I was unable to show it to you, because it required both of my hands and I don't have a third to take a picture (though that would be awesome). What you want to do is swirl your brush on to the palm of the other hand, like if you were blending foundation on to your skin. Every now and then rinse it out with a little bit water, if you need to add a little bit of soap it's fine.

When you notice that the water is running clear, that means your brush is clean. When you are rinsing it out, run it over the water a little bit, and then flip it down (like in the picture) and let the water drip down. With your fingers lightly press out the water from the brush, you don't want to do that too aggressively because it can cause bristles to fall out.

Lay your brushes on a towel and let them dry. They should be dry within 2 to 3 hours. Leave them in a place where there is a breeze, whether it's your air conditioner or from an open window, can hit them. That will help your brushes dry thoroughly and quicker !

I forgot to mention that you definitely want your eye shadow and blending brush clean to show the true pigmentation. This happened to me once, I was applying a matte brown color on my crease and I noticed it had a bit of shimmer. I had use my crease brush to apply a eye shadow that had shimmer a couple of days before and forgot to clean it, so it transferred on to my eyelid. Remember, cleaning makeup brushes is simple and easy, and very important.

Hope you Beauts found this helpful !

My 2013 Beauty Favorites !

Hi Beauts !
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's and an amazing year to come. So the new year if finally here ! This past year was great and I can't wait for 2014 and what's to come, 2013 had some great beauty finds that I will love always. I know that these will definitely be favorites in the year to come and I can't.wait find new ones along the way.
Foundation

This has been my go to foundation ever since I purchased it. It has amazing coverage and leaves your skin looking pretty much flawless and it has a built in primer, so it's good when you're in a hurry.
Palette

This palette will forever be one of my favorite palettes. It's so versatile, day or night look, natural or smokey eye, it does it all. I love the colors as well, very natural and silky.
Cream Eyeshadow

This paint pot is an absolute must for me. On lazy days, I put some of this on my eyelids and mascara and Im good to go. I really like the color of this because its a pinky skin color, so it helps cancel out any redness I may have on my eyelids from allergies or lack or sleep. It basically brightens my eyes and lasts all day.
Lip Products

Almay Liquid Lip Balm - Pink Pout
Sephora Rouge Shine - N 20
Covergirl - Spellbound
Mac - Snob
This year I went a little pink crazy. Rather than doing the classic red lip, i went for hot pink when I wanted a bold look. And when I wanted a more subtle hot pink, I went for the lip gloss or sheer lipstick. When I wasn't feeling either I went for the nude pink, you can never go wrong with nude pink lips.
Mascara

These mascaras are honestly heaven sent. They kinda work the same and have the same formula more or less, but they have different wands. These mascaras lengthen and separate which I love, but I love how long lasting they are. They don't flake, they don't irritate my eyes, they hold a curl pretty well and make your eyelashes look amazing yet natural.
Eyebrows

This past year, I have been eyebrow crazy. I never use to worry about them, just a little brow gel and I was good to go. But now, I really like the look and effect it gives. On lazy days, when I don't want too much make up but look put together, I do my eyebrows and mascara and feel put together.
Eyeliner

This is my favorite gel eyeliner. It's really dark and applies just as dark, not gray or a soft black. If you've used gel eyeliners that aren't the best quality, you know what I mean. The lasting proof of this eyeliner is awesome and it doesn't smudge during the day.
Nail Polish

Essie Clambake
Quimica Alemana Nail Hardner
Essie Shearling Darling
So for this year, I norrowed it down to these two Essie polishes and this nail hardner. This are the colors I turn to most, I do try to expand and I do use all my polishes. However, I love color and they go with any outfit and ocassion. As for the nail hardner, it's amazing. I used to bite my nails, so growing them out was a pain because they were so weak, but this helped and I still use it.
Face

I could put here my face wash, my toner, my moisturizer or face mask, but then I would be lying. My Clarisonic has changed my skin dramatically. Its smoother, brighter and I definitely feel a difference in my skin than when I used to use just my hands. I have noticed a difference in the amount of oil my pores are producing, which is a amaxing because I felt like a pizza some times. Brushes

Elf Angled Eyeliner Brush
Sephora Airbrush Foundation Brush

These brushes have made my life so so much easier. This foundation brush does what it says, it leaves your face looking like it was literally airbrushed. It bends everything nicely, doesnt leave any streaks behind and really helps set the foundation in place. I love gel eyeliner, it's my favorite form of eyeliner. I used to use the Smashbox Eyeliner Brush or the Real Techniques brush, and I didn't really like the end result for either one. This brush is really fine and sturdy, so it helps to make a thin line and the angle makes it easier to go in a straight line.
Candle

I love the smell of this candle, it smells like what I imagine winter to smell like, cool, crisp, and pepperminty. This candle is my favorite for 2013 because it smells amazing but I really do think you could turn it on during the year, and no one would know it's a Winter candle. It just leaves my room smelling amazing and clean.
Hair Care

Coconut Oil can be use for almost anything, moisturizer, make up remover, to make a scrub whatever really. I like to put coconut oil once a week, in my hair and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour and wash it off . It makes your hair so soft, it doesn't get rid of split end but it moisturizes your ends that it does a good job of hiding them. It's all natural so you aren't stink more chemicals on your head and you smell like coconuts at the end of it all.
Thank you so much for reading my blog and giving me a chance. I appreciate it so much, I'm so excited for this new year and I plan to work even harder on my blog for you guys !
Be you, Beyoutiful !
